Part I:Specific Arrangements for This Freshman Course Selection
Freshmen are only allowed to select courses from the"Undergraduate Teaching and Training Program"(hereinafter referred to as the"training program")of their own major for this semester,as well as general elective courses.Courses from other majors and higher grades are not open.Meanwhile,all courses within the training program must be selected within the school-recommended class time,and the"running class schedule"will be detailed in the grade group notice.The training program can be queried at the following URL:https://jwc.ecust.edu.cn/2025j/list.htm 。
Course Selection Time:12:00-15:00 on Wednesday,September 17;12:00-15:00 on Thursday,September 18.
Course Selection Location:Computer labs or any place with a stable internet connection.If the external network is closed,please use the campus network or VPN to log in and access.The computer labs open for this course selection are listed in Attachment 1.If a lab is occupied at a certain time,please switch to another lab.

Part II:Course Selection Website and Login Instructions

(Faculty and Student Entrance).It is recommended to use a computer,and the browser should be Google or 360 Extreme Mode.
Login username:Student ID.
Initial password:The last six digits of the identification document(e.g.,ID card for mainland students,passport for international students).If the last digit is a letter,please try both uppercase and lowercase.The system requires you to change the password upon the first login,so please log in and change it in advance!After changing,please remember to save the password.
Students must log in and use their school-provided email accounts,and bind their mobile phone numbers.In the future,if you forget your password,you can retrieve it through your school email.For more details,please follow the WeChat public account"ECUST Information Management Center"and check the article titled"@2025 Freshmen,Please Check!Your Campus'Surfing'and Knowledge Treasure Map Has Been Updated!".
Part III:Important Notes
All courses must be selected by the students themselves,and students must attend classes according to the actual running class schedule published by the college.
Course selection must be based on the training program of your major.If you have any questions about the training program,please consult your class tutor or Ms.Han from the college academic affairs office(Tel:33610576).The contact information of the college academic affairs is listed in Attachment 2.
University English I:Please select the corresponding level based on the results of the Freshman University English Placement Test.Cross-level course selection is not allowed.The list of university English placement can be found in the grade group notice.
General Elective Courses:Students can select on-campus courses in the academic affairs system,or choose off-campus general elective courses on off-campus platforms(i.e.,Chaoxing Platform and Zhihuishu Platform).For the course selection arrangement of off-campus general elective courses,please refer to the following URL:https://jwc.ecust.edu.cn/2025/0905/c3938a181752/page.htm

Ideological and Political Courses(e.g.,"Outline of Modern Chinese History,""Moral Education and Rule of Law,""An Introduction to Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era,"etc.)are scheduled in the weekend class window.The specific class arrangement will be notified separately by the teaching college or the instructor.
Basic Courses in Digital and Intelligent Science(e.g.,"Basic Application of Deep Learning and Computer Vision,""Basic and Application of Large-Scale Models,""Artificial Intelligence Application Development Training,""Basic of Digital and Intelligent Science,"etc.)will be offered online throughout the course and are scheduled in the weekend class window.They are only used for course conflict check.The specific class arrangement will be notified separately by the teaching college or the instructor.
Teaching classes that are not scheduled for time or location in the class schedule(e.g.,experimental practice courses,MOOC courses,etc.)will be arranged by the teaching college.Students can actively obtain the specific teaching arrangement through the following ways:1)Check the news announcement column on the homepage of the Academic Affairs Office(https://jwc.ecust.edu.cn/)for any notices;2)Log in to the multi-level informatized learning platform of East China University of Science and Technology(http://s.ecust.edu.cn)or download the Chaoxing Learning Tong APP on your mobile phone.Follow the platform user manual to log in and enter the"Teaching Space"to see if there are any notices;3)Consult the college academic affairs of the teaching college.The contact information of the college academic affairs is listed in Attachment 2.
After the course selection ends,the school will close teaching classes with less than 10 students in principle.The list of closed teaching classes will be published on the homepage of the Academic Affairs Office before Wednesday of the third week.Students affected by the course closure can make up the general elective courses according to the off-campus general elective course selection notice;other courses can be made up in future semesters.If it is necessary to make up this semester,please consult your college before 12:00 on Friday of the third week.The contact information of the college is listed in the attachment.
Students with outstanding fees are unable to select courses.Please pay the outstanding fees to the finance office as soon as possible.
For the 2025 grade students,please select Physical Education(1)and Physical Education(2)this semester(Note:Both courses need to be selected,and the teaching class of(2)should be consistent with(1)).Classes for boys and girls are taught separately.At 6:00 p.m.on Monday,September 22,all students are required to gather in Room 101 of the Fengxian Gymnasium on time.All female students,please select the aerobics class taught by Teacher Xu Qinhua;all male students can choose the swimming class taught by Teacher Wang Lie or the basketball class taught by Teacher Xu Jianga,on a first-come-first-served basis.
Part IV:Requirements for College Course Selection Support Work
This course selection is the first time for freshmen to select courses during their university period.Students are not familiar with the training program and the course selection system.Meanwhile,nearly 4,500 people logging into the system at the same time requires high-level software and hardware support for the course selection.Therefore,please work with the Academic Affairs Office to do a good job in course selection support.
Before the course selection begins,the college should organize pre-course training for freshmen and relevant personnel.The content should at least include:(1)the first-semester courses of the training program(see Attachments 3-5),especially the course selection instructions for courses with multiple options;(2)the content of this notice;(3)the course selection operation manual(download from the download center of the Academic Affairs Office homepage,specific URL:(

Notify the students of this college to log in to the course selection website in advance and change the initial password.Be sure to save the password after changing it.
During the course selection period,all computer labs in the Fengxian Campus of each college will be open to freshmen.If there are course arrangements at a certain time,please explain in advance at the lab door.
Within the first 2 hours of the course selection start,all class tutors are required to be at the main venue where their class students are selecting courses to guide the students in their class.The rest of the time can be arranged by the college according to the course selection situation of the students.
