On the morning of 10 December, East China University of Science and Technology held its awards ceremony for the 7th China International ‘Internet Plus’ Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition alongside the launch event for the 8th edition at its Xuhui Campus. The project ‘Nano Detect: Single-Molecule Detection of Emerging Pollutants – Pioneering Domestic Environmental Monitoring Equipment’, led by Zhao Ziyi from the International Elite Engineering School, secured a national bronze award and a municipal gold award in Shanghai. This marks the first time the School has organised student participation since its establishment in 2019, achieving the best result to date for a second-year undergraduate team from East China University of Science and Technology.

The project's success exemplifies the School's commitment to the French engineering education model, which emphasises critical thinking, technological innovation, and practical application. This approach cultivates high-calibre engineering professionals and business leaders with innovative spirit and international vision, reflecting the School's ongoing dedication to excellence in engineering education.
