The 6th Joint Management Committee Meeting for the International Excellence Engineering School convened successfully in Lille, France.

The 6th Joint Management Committee Meeting of the International Excellence Engineer School of East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) was successfully held at the École Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Lille (ENSCL) in France on November 3, 2025. The meeting was chaired by Jacques MERCADIER, the French Dean of the College and Vice-President of the Fédération Gay-Lussac (FGL). Attendees and members of the committee included Professor Xuan Fuzhen, President of ECUST; Professor Rose-Noëlle Vannier, President of FGL and Director of ENSCL; Professor Audrey Soric, Director of the École Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Rennes, among other members.


At the meeting, Professor Xuan Fuzhen, President of East China University of Science and Technology, emphasized the profound significance of the accreditation by the French Commission des Titres d'Ingénieur (CTI) for the International Excellence Engineer College in achieving its goal of cultivating globally competitive engineers. He also expressed sincere gratitude to the persistent efforts of the Sino-French teams.

Huang Guangtuan, the Chinese Vice Dean of the College, presented a detailed report to the Joint Management Committee on the latest progress, core requirements, and key milestones of the CTI accreditation process.

Following in-depth discussions and careful deliberation, the meeting successfully reviewed and approved a series of important matters concerning the College. These included development plans and teaching reform initiatives. The decisions made and their subsequent implementation are instrumental in further optimizing the College's internal governance structure, significantly enhancing the standardization and scientific rigor of its management practices. This has laid a solid foundation for the College's sustainable development and the continuous improvement of its educational quality.

The meeting, characterized by in-depth discussions and constructive consultations, resulted in a high level of consensus between both sides on multiple key issues. This has injected strong momentum into the future international development of the International Excellence Engineer College. The positive outcomes achieved during this meeting provide solid support for the College's comprehensive efforts to enhance its educational quality, optimize talent cultivation models, and strengthen international cooperation.
