Personal Profile
  • Graduated with a Bachelor’s degree (2012) and a PhD (2017) from East China University of Science and Technology
  • During his PhD, he was sponsored by the China Scholarship Council (CSC) to undertake a one-year government-funded study abroad programme at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD)
  • After completing his PhD, he joined the Chemistry Postdoctoral Research Station at East China University of Science and Technology to conduct postdoctoral research
  • He completed his postdoctoral fellowship in July 2020 and remained at the university as a specially appointed associate researcher. He is currently an Associate Professor and Master’s Supervisor in the School of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering

  • Anaerobic degradation of petroleum hydrocarbons to produce methane
  • Microbial conversion of CO₂ to produce methane
  • Bio-surfactants
