Research Interests
  • 1. Research on advanced oxidation and reduction technologies (including Fenton, piezoelectric and photocatalysis) for the treatment of recalcitrant pollutants in water bodies
  • 2. Resource recovery and conversion of organic pollutant molecules in water bodies
  • 3. Resource recovery and conversion of greenhouse gas molecules such as CO₂ and methane
  • 4. Hydrogen production from wastewater and seawater

Research Projects
  • As principal investigator, has led over 20 national, provincial, ministerial and industry-sponsored projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China’s Outstanding Young Scientist Fund, Excellent Young Scientist Fund, and the National Key Research and Development Programme;
  • The “Shanghai Engineering Research Centre for Multimedia Environmental Catalysis and Resource Recovery”, of which he is a member, maintains industry-academia-research collaborations with numerous enterprises, including Shanghai Electric, Beijing Construction Engineering Group, Shanghai Research Institute of Chemical Industry Co., Ltd., and Nanjing Yangtze River Delta Green Development Research Institute Co., Ltd.
