On the afternoon of March 25,the International Elite Engineering School convened a professional guidance committee seminar on the revision of the undergraduate training program for the class of 2025.The seminar was presided over by Vice Dean Huang Guantuan.In attendance were Jacques Mercadier,the French Dean,representatives from the French companies,including Du Hao from Air Liquide and Kang Jin from Suez Environment Group,as well as department heads and representatives from chemical engineering and technology,polymer materials and engineering,and applied chemistry at East China University of Science and Technology.The purpose of the seminar was to solicit opinions and suggestions from the French Dean,partner employers,and professional professors on the college's training program and curriculum system.This would help the college further integrate the French elite engineering education philosophy and build a new high-end engineering talent-cultivation system with the characteristics of East China University of Science and Technology.

Huang Guantuan first reported to the representatives on the preliminary work for the revision of the undergraduate training program for the class of 2025.The revision aims to cultivate students'broader international vision and the competitiveness of"language+major"composite talents.In the face of the opportunities and challenges of the new era,it seeks to achieve the connotative development of the professional curriculum system empowered by digital intelligence.

Jacques Mercadier,the French Dean,acknowledged the urgent need for innovative talent cultivation in the digital age.He encouraged students to engage in more proactive and exploratory learning to stimulate team-collaboration momentum and fully prepare for their future engineering careers.He also expressed concerns about the organization and arrangement of elective courses.The corporate representatives affirmed the unique feature of the college's integrated undergraduate-to-master's degree program.From the perspective of employers,they encouraged students to start with courses and integrate the concepts of project management and teamwork into their university studies and internships.Under the inspiration of project-based topics,students can simultaneously enhance their personal abilities and engineering literacy.The heads of each major expressed support for the selection of core major courses and proposed improvement suggestions for the establishment of elective courses in the interdisciplinary field of digital intelligence.
