In order to thoroughly implement the thought of Xi Jinping on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era,fully implement the Party's educational policy and the action plan for building a strong education nation,adhere to cultivating talents for the Party and the country,closely focus on the strategic goals of the 12th Party Congress of the university and the key tasks for 2025,and target the new requirements for talent cultivation in the digital age,on the afternoon of March 18,the college organized a seminar on the revision of the undergraduate training program for the class of 2025.Vice Dean Huang Guantuan,representatives of counselors,and the person in charge of teaching affairs had in-depth discussions with students to widely listen to their opinions and suggestions on the college's training program and curriculum system.This will help the college further integrate the French elite engineering education philosophy and build a new high-end engineering talent-cultivation system with the characteristics of East China University of Science and Technology.

Vice Dean Huang Guantuan first gave a detailed explanation of the background and preliminary research results of the revision of the training program to nine student representatives from the first,second,and third years of the chemical engineering and technology,polymer materials and engineering,and applied chemistry majors.He introduced the idea of building a curriculum system that integrates the French"preparatory-engineer"and Chinese"bachelor-master"education,optimizing the course layout and connections,promoting exploratory teaching models,and integrating cutting-edge digital technology and interdisciplinary knowledge to meet the goals of innovative talent cultivation.He also shared the course list of the first round of revisions for the class of 2025,the module requirements of each educational platform,and the course arrangements for each semester.The student representatives spoke one by one,sharing their learning experiences and having in-depth exchanges on various aspects,such as the college's French class grouping teaching,language ability training,scientific and technological French series courses,intensive learning before official language level exams,collaborative teaching of foreign teachers in French courses,French exercise classes and extracurricular tutoring,the semester arrangement of basic courses for lower-grade students,the connection of professional courses for upper-grade students,and the college's integrated undergraduate-to-master's degree cultivation model.Vice Dean Huang Guantuan and the representatives of counselors and teaching affairs gave sincere responses and detailed records to the students'opinions and suggestions.
