In active response to the national initiative for cultivating outstanding engineers and to foster well-rounded international talents, while aligning with the educational objectives of the International Elite Engineering School, this scheme encourages outstanding students to pursue their Master of Engineering degree at partner institutions in France or within our School as per the training programme. In accordance with relevant university regulations and considering the School's specific circumstances, the scholarship assessment procedures for fourth-year undergraduates in the Sino-French Programme are as follows:

Pursuant to the East China University of Science and Technology Undergraduate Scholarship Assessment Regulations (Trial Implementation), the total scholarship fund available for the graduating cohort shall be calculated. This sum shall be distributed equally without tiered classification (rounded up to the nearest whole figure) among students who align with the School's educational objectives—namely, those proceeding to France to pursue an engineering master's degree or those admitted without examination to the School's professional master's programmes. Other students shall not participate in the final-year scholarship assessment.

Example: For the 2019 cohort, where the scholarship fund ranges between RMB 18,000 and RMB 22,000, all eligible students (27 pursuing studies in France and 6 admitted directly to the School's engineering master's programme) shall receive the East China University of Science and Technology Undergraduate Academic Scholarship. This shall be distributed without tier differentiation at RMB 700 per person, totalling RMB 23,100.

This policy applies exclusively to undergraduate students admitted through the unified national entrance examination from the 2019 to 2022 cohorts.
