On the morning of June 17, a delegation led by Ms. Liu Weiling, Director of the International Exchange Office, Director of the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office, and Dean of the International Education College of Beibu Gulf University, visited our university for a research visit focused on internationalization in higher education. The symposium was chaired by Mr. Deng Zhonghua, Deputy Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange of our university.

At the symposium, Deng Zhonghua welcomed the Beibu Gulf University delegation and provided an overview of our university's overall foreign affairs framework and the progress of key international cooperation projects. Ms. Hua Jiajie, Director of the Office of the International Elite Engineering School, shared practical experiences in cultivating innovative talent models, integrating curriculum systems, and ensuring teaching quality, drawing on the university's Sino-French cooperative education practices. The International Education College also delivered a special presentation on topics including the expansion of international student recruitment channels and daily management and student services. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on common challenges in the operation of Sino-foreign cooperative education programs and on strategies to improve the quality and efficiency of international student education.

Following the symposium, the Beibu Gulf University delegation toured the teaching and office facilities of the International Elite Engineering School. Ms. Hua Jiajie, Director of the School Office, and Ms. Sun Xiaoming, Director of the External Exchange Office, provided on-site briefings on the school's operational mechanisms, the allocation of Chinese and French faculty, the development of specialized courses, and student training outcomes, and engaged in exchanges with the visiting colleagues.

Ms. Liu Weiling remarked that East China University of Science and Technology's practical explorations in the efficient operation of Sino-foreign cooperative education institutions and the integrated cultivation of international students offer an actionable reference model for Beibu Gulf University's ongoing efforts in related areas. She expressed the hope that this research visit would serve as an opportunity to further expand practical cooperation between the two universities in the field of international education.

The symposium was also attended by Ms. Cai Yingying, Director of the Party Committee Office of the International Education College at Beibu Gulf University's International Exchange Office; Ms. Wei Lumei, International Student Counselor at the International Education College; and Ms. Liu Han, Director of the Office of the International Education College of our university.
