As the nation celebrates the centenary of the Communist Party of China and embarks upon a new journey towards building a modern socialist country in all respects, East China University of Science and Technology hosted a campus-wide themed song festival titled Celebrating the Party's Centenary: Singing Red Classics at the Fengxian Campus Gymnasium on 14 May. Over 1,500 young students formed twelve contingents, engaging in spirited rounds of choral performances featuring classic revolutionary songs.

The concert unfolded in three chapters: Staying True to Our Founding Mission, Youth in Striving, and Setting Sail for the Future. The International Elite Engineering School, in collaboration with the School of Law, the Sino - German School of Engineering, and the School of Physical Education, formed a joint contingent of one hundred students who performed the song A Cool Fish. Dressed in formation uniforms and wearing Communist Youth League badges, the students sang with gusto, gently waving national flags and light-up signs in time with the music, showcasing the spirited and upward-striving ethos of the university's youth.


A Cool Fish, fearless in pursuit of dreams! The stirring rendition of A Cool Fish expressed the mission and responsibility of contemporary youth to strive courageously. Subsequently, as the entire venue joined in singing Without the Communist Party, There Would Be No New China, a giant Party flag was passed through the audience, conveying profound devotion to the Communist Party of China and elevating the atmosphere to its climax.

This song festival celebrated the Communist Party of China's century of glorious achievements while voicing the youth's heartfelt devotion to the Party, the nation, and its people. It served as a vivid and profound lesson in faith, showcasing International Elite Engineering School students' unwavering commitment to following the Party's lead and their resolve to contribute their youthful energy to building a new era.
